What I’ve Been Reading: Atomic Habits by James Clear

Lately, I’ve been feeling the pressure of juggling work, homelife, and the never-ending to-do list. So I picked up Atomic Habits by James Clear.

This book isn’t just another productivity guide. It’s about how tiny changes in your daily routine can lead to massive results over time. The message is simple but powerful: you don’t need to overhaul your life to make progress. Just focus on getting 1% better each day.

That idea really stuck with me. I’ve started making small tweaks — like spending 10 minutes each morning organizing my tasks instead of diving straight into emails. It’s such a small shift, but it’s already helping me feel more in control.

Why This Book Matters

Here’s what I’ve taken away that’s been especially useful in my work life:

  • Better routines – I now start my day with a quick planning session, and it’s made a huge difference.

  • Consistency – I’ve built systems that help me stay on track even when I’m tired or overwhelmed.

  • Breaking bad habits – I’ve caught myself procrastinating less and being more intentional with my time.

  • Saving time – These small habits are helping me work smarter, not harder.

One of my favourite tips from the book? The Four Laws of Behaviour Change: Make it Obvious, Make it Attractive, Make it Easy, and Make it Satisfying

Final Thought

Atomic Habits reminded me that change doesn’t have to be dramatic to be effective. Starting small and staying consistent is where the magic happens. If you’re looking for a practical, motivating read that can genuinely improve your business (and your mindset), I highly recommend it.
